Beginning Dakota Language Offered for Fall 2021

Beginning Dakota Language I (AIS 450:077), a fall 2021 online course, will introduce students to the language, culture, and history of the Dakota People. Some of the topics students will learn include orienteering, orthography, talking about self, Dakhóta People, describing, telling time, family, work/school, eating, likes, wants, ability, and motion verbs.

The class will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The instructor is Šišóka Dúta.
